Order not moving into history.

Transferred and order to an invoice with backordered items. The customer cancelled the backordered items. I cannot get the order to move into history. Anyone know what I am doing wrong?

I have never liked the use of the word Remove, Transfer would be a better choice. What this utility does is moves the document from the open sales order tables to the historical sales order tables.

Yes I have, I was afraid to do what you suggested. Will this keep the order in the customer file?

Have you cancelled the items no longer wanted on the original order? After doing that you can go to Tools->Sales->Reconcile - Remove Documents. Make sure you enter the order number and then click Process. That will move the completed sales order into history.
