Linking multiple datasets on SSRS RDP class

ReportReport

Hi all

Running AX 2012 R3 CU9.

I'm currently working with an SSRS report which is getting its info from an RDP class with multiple temporary tables. The report currently only pulls from one temporary table as a dataset.

I've managed to pull in other temporary tables from the same RDP class as different datasets on the report, but of course there is no inherent link between the two datasets.

Is there a way to link my two datasets together so I can add a range to one dataset and it will cascade to limit data from the others?

Thanks very much in advance for your help,

Luke

    Hi Crispin

I am actually confused as to what it is SalesInvoice (for example) are doing differently from what I described haha, I've been looking at it already to see what settings it has that are different for its datasets.

Could you please explain "treat as temporary inside a transactionId"? I'm not sure what you mean by this.

    Thanks

    Hi Crispin

I see. I mean, I understand how these tables are AOT tables. But I don't understand how this relates to them linking together.

In the example you have given, the link between the tables being ConfirmId or InvoiceId - where is that stored and how does the report know this? Inside createdTransactionId?

Or have I missed something in your explanation?

Also, does this mean I can't use regular RDP temporary tables to link datasets together, they have to be just temporary reflections of AOT tables that already exist?

    Thanks

    Luke
