Where can I see where the demand came from in the production order after the planning worksheet?

Hello,

Can anyone tell me how I can see where the demand came from in the production orders (in all statuses not fussed) please?

I created an sales invoice - run the planning worksheet - created the production order

Once it gets into the production order, I would like to see where this production order stemmed from.

I would like to see a list of sales invoice and the production orders that were created from that sales invoice -

producing for stock - just thought I should mention that

I can't see the sales invoice anywhere in the production order or even in the item ledger entries.

Please can anyone help

thank you

Jacqui

If you are producing for stock and not orders reservations are the main method available. From a sales document set a reservation to the production order. You can then see from either the sale or production the link from the reservation entries pages

Though Josh is correct and this might do exactly what you desire. I suggest that you test and make sure that you want to use reservations as they can become difficult to manage. Reservations also are not for producing to stock, in fact, they are reserving the produced product to the identified sales order.

The real fact of the matter is that BC does not show you how or what demand quantity was calculated. Demand is fluid and constantly changing. This would be a nice feature to add.

Hello That is correct BC does not show where the demand is coming from - so I am now using the production number being the same as the sale demand number and using a report to bring those two together.
