Manually Clear Items on Bank Reconciliation

On most of our older systems you can manually clear items on bank recs. This is done by entering an ending bank balance and statement date. A list of outstanding transactions appear and then one can mark or unmark items as cleared.

In the Business Central Bank Reconciliation screen, I can see outstanding transactions on the Bank Account Ledger side of the screen, but again am not finding a way to manually clear them. Is there a way to manually clear the line items or does it need to happen with a bank upload. Please advise. Thank you.

Manually Clear Items on Bank Reconciliation

You can essentially do the same thing in Business Central.

You can manually enter the same transactions in the bank statement lines pane and match them to the transactions in the bank account ledger entries pane.

Or you can use the 'Suggest Lines...' action to populate the bank statement lines pane with the same lines as the bank account ledger entries pane., and then match the two.

Manually Clear Items on Bank Reconciliation

Hello,

Marking and unmarking bank entry is the common way when working on bank reconciliation traditionally.

In Business Central however, the approach is to delete entries on 'Bank Statement Lines' if not found on bank statement.
