Hi All,

I have the requirement of giving Delete access to a custom field in All Vendor form.

1. So, I have added the custom field in VendTable extension form and set the NeededPermission property to Manual.

2. Created a security privilege and added Entry point with VendTable and added control name under Controls

3. Created Duty and role for this privilege and assign it to the user. But this field is not coming in the form.

Please help me out.

You can work with the form control overrides nodes on the privilege instead of the nodes below the menu item.

In the security Privilege, add your field under the form controls and provide the access permissions.

For e.g. Check the Standard Security Privilege named as 'CustFreeInvoiceMaintain'. In that, add your form control name (field name -  added as extension field) and provide the access.

This is a custom field XYZ in VendTable and I have added in the VendTable extension form.

Al user should have access to the Vendor form but only some of users have the access to the XYZ field which have specific role.

    Hi D365FO Avatar,

I do miss the description what you meant with a new field. Is it a new field on the VendTable or another table linked to the vendor? Or did you add a display method?

Should all users having access to the vendors form also have access to this field? Or is this restricted to some roles only?

    Hi,

Could you please explain what do you mean by providing the access to the form controls??

Yes, it coming for System Admin. I have done full build and synchronization but its not coming.

Please share a screenshot of the security privilege along with the properties assigned.

    Hi,

Your steps are correct. Did you provide the access to the form controls? If Yes, you have done correct.

Make sure that, field is visible for System Administrator role.

Double check your testing users have assigned the correct security roles, duties and privileges. Finally, Build and synchronize your package.

    Thanks,

    Hi D365FO Avatar,

Are you able to see the field logging in as a System administrator?
