Hi,
I am doing an evaluation on RSAT. I am stuck at getting SOAP host name, Since I couldnt find anything called AOSService inside my IIS. Since I am new to this, I dont know how to configure AOSService inside my local machine. Please help me with configuring RSAT in my windows 10 machine.
Hi Keerthana,
What do you mean that " I couldnt find anything called AOSService inside my IIS".
What's your environment? Did you connect to your AOS server? You can find AOS server there.
Please have a look at this DOC:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/fin-ops-core/dev-itpro/perf-test/rsat/rsat-install-configure
Hope this helps.
You don't configure any AOS in your machine. You must connect to a machine that already has AOS = the D365 system that you are testing in.
You need to deploy a Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations(D365FO) environment, it would create an Azure VM (server) with AOSService deployed, then you could remote to the VM and see AOSService in the iis, note: AOSService is on server, not on client. For deploying a D365FO environment, you need to buy D365FO subscriptions or use trial version.

If I understand you right, you are asking for the SOAP URL that needs to be put in the RSAT configuration. The best way to get this is to login to an AOS and look at the web.config file. There will be a key called Infrastructure.SoapServicesUrl. Take the value without the https and put it in the RSAT configuration.
the web.config file is under K:\AOSService\webroot
Keerthana,
There's also a strong Yammer group on the subject of RSAT. It is an active tool with developing features.
You don't have to find that out anywhere or configure it by yourself . If you have already deployed environment (VM) and URL is suppose
envName.cloudax.dynamics.com then your soap host name is going to be envNamesoap.cloudax.dynamics.com
