"Same-batch" setting does not work forproductions

When setting a tracking dimension to be "Same batch" it works fine in sales processing/automatic reservation. When the automatic reservation is triggered, a form comes up and tell if there is no batches able to fulfill the line requirement.

I would expect this functionality to be working in Production too, but no luck. I think i have tried all combinations, settings etc. But no luck.

Any help will be much appreciated. Maybe it is not implemented in production?

    Can you clarify where exactly you'd expect it to work in production? When picking raw materials?

    It is only implemented for Sales orders, as far as I remember.

    Hi Ivan

    Yes, I expected it to handle reservations as it is doing in sales.

    The problem it is addressing is the same, whether it is in Sales or production (and materials for projects). I normally refer to it as "Wallpaper problem" as when selecting wallpaper you have to ensure all are from same batch because of minor colour differences between batches.
