Firming planned production orders - Cannot edit a record

Posted on by 15

We receive the below error when attempting to firm planned production orders. The item has multiple BOM levels. I have read numerous articles where they want users to change the OCC enabled property on the reqtrans table but I obviously do not want to go down that path for various reasons. I am unable to find any released hotfix that corrects this error.

I believe it has something to do with reqtrans caching but Im hesitant to customize that code.

I saw this related post but hopefully Microsoft have got a better solution than this.

    Hi MickWoods,

Assuming you're on AX 2012 R3, there is one hotfix for that error, which was included in CU13 (it's KB 4019938). I can't say if it resolves your scenario, and if you already have CU13, then you know it doesn't!

If you don't have CU13, are able to reproduce the error quite easily, and are able to install the hotfix, then you should be able to find out if that is your better solution. If you already have CU13, then I guess you would have to log it with MS to get the best solution.
