Can you customize the App for Outlook Person Quick View form?

Hi there,

I've been having a bit of difficultly customizing the App for Outlook Person Quick View to remove the Opportunities subgrid. Through the form editor, I have changed what used to be the Opportunities subgrid properties to use Cases instead (as shown below):

However, I get the following error when I load up the app:

I can't seem to find reference to anywhere where it says you can't customize these forms so I am wondering if this is just a bug?

We are on version 9.1.0.2429 of Dynamics 365 online.

Thanks in advance,

    H Ciaran,

Have you verified that you have the right access to the Case entity? You should be able to customize the form following the steps you have detailed, so if this issue persists please open a support ticket with Microsoft. We will investigate and address it ASAP.

    Thanks,

    Srihari

    Hi Srihari,

    Thanks for your reply.

Yes - I'm a system administrator and am able to see all cases. The cases were showing up correctly before I made changes to the form.

I'll look at raising this with Microsoft :)

    Hi

The error looks like a temporary one form me. Could you restart outlook or machine and see if it flushes the cache properly and picks up the changes you made correctly.

    Hey Kokulan,

I've restart Outlook, cleared the cache and restarted my machine - and still get it. I've asked other users to check as well and they are receiving the same result.

    Thanks,

    Hi,

    Please see below post...

Hope you had reviewed the list of views available for the entity and published the customizations.

Also make sure this view is in active state in CRM.

Kindly refer to the note section of the resolution in the below KB
