An unexpected error occurred.

Error code: 0x80040216

when trying to export using the classic Interface, I get this error

I checked other articles suggesting its a duplicated column but I checked my views and its not.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

When generating excel, some fields are usually exported by default. You can check whether your display name is duplicated with these fields.

If this helped you, I'd appreciate it if you'd mark this as a Verified Answer, which may in turn help others as well.

    Best Regards,

Was this issue resolved?  I am experiencing the same problem.

The column names are not the same and the issue occurs on all Export to Excel options.

I found somebody suddenly got the same error, in Chrome but not in Firefox - after cleaning up Chrome (cookies etc) it worked again.

    Hi,

Other browsers are great workaround however this error seems to be happening with latest version of Chrome: Version 109.0.5414.75 (Official Build) (64-bit)

    Any ideas?

Unfortunately not - I checked and we use the same Chrome version.

The other browser was not intended as a workaround but to check if the problem lay within Dynamics or the browser.

Signing out - clearing all browser data - closing Chrome and signing back in solved the problem in our case
