User field on APtran will not save data

SL 2011FP1-   added fields user1 and user5 with customization manager to Voucher and Adjustment Entry  detail/grid area ( aptran).     One field is a text box and the other is a combo box.  Neither field will save data.    Both allow the data to populate in the screen but neither saves to the database.

Was able to locate a bug report for 2011sp1 but it is listed as corrected in fp1.

    Hi SHERTEL,

    I tested this by adding the user1 field to my Voucher and Adjustment Entry screen.  My steps were:

    1.  Launch the Insert Object Wizard

    2.  Click on Textbox

    3.  I left the Object Name as xuser1

    3.  Click Next

    4.  Choose Level 4 - Transaction

    5.  Left Object Name as xuser1

    6.  Click Next

    7.  Scroll down to the user1 field, click on it, click Apply

    8.  Drag the field down to the Detail section of the screen

    9.  Close out of Voucher and Adjustment Entry and say Yes to save changes

    10. I then entered a new batch, entered the word "test" in my newly added field.  Saved the batch.  Selected from APtran for that batch and the word "test" appears in the User1 field.  If I bring up that batch in the Voucher and Adjustment Entry screen, the word "test" appears in my new field.

    Are these fairly representative of your process to add the field?  It seems to work for me.

    Hi Carolyn,

    What is version is your swimapi.dll?    Mine is 8.10.30917.0 and I suspect it may be the cause.    Do you know which hot fix for 2011fp1 contains the latest swimapi version?

    Hi Stacie,

    My version of Swimapi.dll is the same as yours.  Did you try it in the demo database?  Are your steps exactly like my test steps?  What customization level are you at when creating the customization?

    Hi Carolyn,

    I created the user1 field as a Combo box.   The customizations were have been created at both the Self and All Users levels with the same results.   Anything selected for Combo box populates the field when viewing but saving or tabbing to the next detail line clears the field.

    This has been reproduced in prod db and test db.   Unfortunately we do not have the demo db installed.

    Can you confirm that you are able to add a combo box and after populating the field it remains populated after saving?

    Hi Stacie,

    Yes - my field is a combo box and the value that I choose is saved to the databsae and appears in the grid after bringing the batch back up.

    What values are they adding to the List property.  Are they putting any special characters in the Data Value or Description Caption in the List property?
