Error when trying to post journal - "Transaction ID must be filled in"

Hello,
I suspect that you may not have a number sequence setup for Transaction ID or it is setup incorrectly.
Got to Project Management and Accounting > Setup > Project management and accounting parameters > Number sequences. Verify you have a number sequence for Transaction ID. If you do right-click and select View details. Check the Scope parameters and the General tab. We recommend that the scope be setup as Company and in my environment under general none of the checkboxes are marked.

Thanks for the reply - I had the number sequence but it was not set to continuous!
Yes it was a number sequence issues. I had to set it to continuous. Thanks for everyone's help.
