In sandbox environment that's ok but in real environment I don't get the menu-item.

What do I have to do?

Many thanks for every helb and

In Client designer is only available on a sandbox environment. More info here:

    Hi Stefano,

    many thanks.

I found your post but have a problem yet. I can't find the option to export what I have done. If I download it, I have to make an app, but don't know how to do that. Is there anywhere a description or can you help me?

    Best regards,

    Stefan

What you have done by using in-client designer is saved as extension and you can see this extension in Extension Management page.

That's right, but I want to use it in production

Not possible. Designer feature is not available in production. It's a feature intended for "power users" that work on a sandbox to implement it and then import the customization (extension) in the production environment.

Thanks, but how can I do that?

That's exactly what I'm looking for. I made my changes in sandbox. What are the steps to create that as extension to import it later in my production environment?

My recommended steps to do: Go to Extension Management page on your sandbox, select your extension, download code, open it in VS Code, remove all dependencies, rebuild (CTRL+SHIFT+B) and manually deploy the .app on your production enviroment:

1 Click on “Setup & Extensions” Menu and then select “Extensions”

2 From the “Extensions” menu bar choose “Manage” and select “Upload Extension”

3 Browse to the folder where you have your extension (.app) file to upload and install it

    Many, many thanks.

That's what I've been  looking for and it works :)

I just will buy your book, I think it will help me a lot.

Thanks again and best regards from germany
