Error when selecting account category in row definition "The account code specified is not valid". Management reporter

Hi All,

I am creating report based on account category, there are 2-3 categories on which system is giving error "The account code specified is not valid". I am using management reporter with GP 2013 R2. Please let me know if some one has any solution how to resolve this error or someone has encountered this error.

    Hello Nauman and Kevin, I'm with the same trouble. I have a dimension code P&L and I tried to replace that with 'P and L' and 'PandL' but it did not work. How did you replace it? Thanks!

    IF the Account Category has any special characters.  That will generate that type of message.  Check for a & sign.  Replace the & with the word and.

    Can you please guide me what is the process of changing data mart to legacy system

    Try to change your adapter Datamart to Legacy and check the categories in MR.

    Note: I faced same issue for one client, and changed the adapter, then it was worked.

    Actually we have migrated from FRX to MR and using data mart configuration. Migration goes successful and no error comes during migration. I am using MR CU12 and i have not changed the categories after migration.

    Any other thought for this.

    When did you created that 2-3 categories? before or After MR configuration?

    What type of adapter are you using? Legacy or Data mart?

    If you using Legacy it will update immediately to MR. But, sometimes data mart wont update properly for new categories, you need to re-build.

    If your adapter is Data mart, then try to change to Legacy and check the categories in MR.

    I newly installed management reporter on my server with GP 2013 R2. Is there anything else which i can check to resolve the issue.

    Its seems like your GP is not properly synchronized with Management Reporter. Please follow the below link to re-build your management reporter and try again.
