Need detailed info on sales order batch imports

I'm building a batch import tool for sales orders. I think I have it pretty well nailed down except some issues with the distributions.

Is there any detailed documentation on the columns for the SOP series tables in 2018?  

Also, is there a flowchart anywhere for SOP batch imports?
