Few fields are active when form is in inactive mode

Hello All,

My issue is, even though the form is in Inactive mode, some fields are still editable.

One similarity between these fields is, we have set the form as Inactive (using one of the Inactive status reasons) when those fields (two options) are set as Yes using a workflow.

Any help is very much appreciated.

Thanks,

- Praveen.

    Hi,

What happens if you refresh the browser window(or if you close it and open the same record again)? Are the fields still editable?

    Hi Praveen,

If they are still editable on the form, that's unusual.. although, if you meant there is a workflow that can still update them, that might be normal. It won't work for some out of the box entities, but, for the custom entities, it will often work. In that case, just add conditions to the workflow to check the status first.

    Hi Alex,

Below is the workflow to make the form Inactive, where "Driver Issuance" is the form name and "Denied-Medical" is the status reason.

Can I know what status you are asking me to update?

    Thanks,

    Hi Praveen,

I was not sure if you meant you are updating the status in the workflow or if it was about updating those few fields in the workflow. Looks like you are using the workflow to set the status. In that case, like I said, it's not normal if you can update the fields directly on the form.. maybe there are javascripts which are unlocking the fields? Do you have any onload form scripts? Would also check business rules just in case(not sure if you can unlock a field on an inactive record using a business rule)

    Hi Alex,

I am updating the status (Inactive) of the form based on the value of few fields, which is what in the above shown workflow. The form is inactive now, but the "Medical Denial" field, which was part of the condition, is still editable.

There are no java script used for this and yes there were business rules created in relation to these field.

    Can that be an issue?

    Regards,

    Praveen.
