Hi Ian,
I Have a two companies
Company A --- Functional Currency -- USD
Transaction Currency - UK
Company B -- Functional Currency - UK
Transaction Currency - USD
We have create a exchange rate for UK in company A and given the access permission to Company B, Does these exchange rates how reflects in Company B. How the GL and end of the year closing effect.
How the balance sheet works in this scenario.
Please provide some solution on this.
Thanks,
Srinivas
I got passed it. I reset the password in GP and it worked. Now I am getting this error:
Data mart connection information: The Management Reporter data mart database requires SQL Server 2008 (10.0.1600.22) or later. The version of the specified server is 10.0.1600.22.
The version of SQL I have is: 10.0.2531.0 which is later than 10.0.1600.22
So I looked at the SQL log and got an error that logon failed: Password did not match. I am copying and pasteing in the password so not sure why it is not working. I am able to sign into GP using this user.
The server has not changed name and the server name is correct.
Has someone renamed your SQL Server? If so that could cause problems for the upgrade of Dynamics GP.
What does <em>select @@SERVERNAME</em> return?
One thing I noticed is that in the SQL Server name it has S_GP_PROD, but in the console under Database connection it says SGP_PROD. I typed in the right name and even copy and pasted the name in, but it is not taking. I have a feeling that is a problem, but not sure what to do. The Management Reporter database is created under the server with the name S_GP_PROD.
I did try that first. Doesn't matter which user I use.
Could you try the sa account? (Copy and paste the password to avoid the bug I mentioned).
Windows user, the user has access to sQL server and is the owner of the Mangement reporter db
OK, there was a bug in one of the earlier versions where the password was validated as you typed each character.
Are you using WIndows auth or a SQL user? If a SQL user, is your user locked out?
