AX2012 - Chart of Accounts set up not appearing in Main Accounts

Hi,

I have been setting up a clients chart of accounts in General Ledger -> SetUp-> Chart of Accounts -> Chart of Accounts. But, when I go to Common->Main Accounts, the accounts I have created do not appear. Any ideas why or how it can be fixed?

    Hi Joanna,

    Have you setup the Ledger and the Account structures?

    Once you create the main GL accounts, you must also assign them to either a Balance Sheet account structure or a Profit & Loss account structure. This setup can be found under GL .> Setup > Chart of Accounts> Configure account structures.

    After that, you must assign those account structures to a ledger. This can be found under GL > Setup > Ledger. Verify that you have a valid ledger calendar created as well.

    And just to cover all bases, ensure that you have a valid (open) fiscal calendar as well. All of the above setup should allow you to see the actual GL accounts under GL > Common > Main accounts.
