Master planning - group by warehouse

Hi,

In Master planning - planned orders - after approving, it is possible when firming to group the PO's by warehouse for one vendor.

At the moment we are only able to group them by vendor for one warehouse.

But as we have several warehouses in different locations (behaving quite like a separate entities) and are ordering into them from the same vendors, it would be nice if we can run the order per vendor and then have them firmed per different warehouses.

Is this possible?

thank you

Silvia

Can you please provide some more information? For example which version you are using? And if you have sites enabled? Maybe you can describe your current scenario and the scenario you are looking for? Thanks in advance - Gertjan

    Hi Gertjan,

    It's AX 2012 R2.

We have enabled sites, we using 2 sites and they are our two companies.

I am ordering only within 1 site. We have 10 warehouses created there, which are our different retail stores.

I am ordering stock for all these from the same group of vendors (about 30 vendors).

At the moment when I filter in auto ordering for a Vendor, approve and firm it makes one order for that vendor containing all the warehouses.

What I would need would be 10 different orders for the same vendor (to make a separate order for each warehouse - separate PO number).

I can filter for warehouse and then it create orders separately for each vendor, so this way I get what I need, but it would be more practical for me if I can filter by Vendor and then get separate PO's per warehouses.

    Good afternoon,

Such a separation does not exist by default. If you want to automatically split the orders per warehouse, you will need to make a modification. To do this, a customization on the ProdPurch and ReqTransPoMarkFirm classes is required. I created such a modification before based on the site, but doing the same trick on the warehouse is possible.

To create the functionality, create an option to collect per warehouse in the ProdPurch class, add the new parameter to the newReq method, the createPurchTable and reqTransPurchIdKey methods. In the ReqTransPoMarkFirm you should extend the methods createPurchTable, dialog and getFromDialog. If you want to be able to default the value collect per warehouse, you might want to introduce a parameter and extend the initParmDefault method as well.

If you have any questions, please let me know.
