Default offset account type doesn't work (on bank journal only)

Hello Ax community,

I am trying to parameter the default offset account type for all my journals and it works for all except for the bank journal.
We can see on the picture that I have put "bank" as an account type but when I create a new journal, it is a ledger account type that shows :

I have the exact same parameters for my vendor journal and it works fine. Do you know why and how I can fix this ?

Thank you very much for your help !

Clara

    Hi,

Try to mark "Fixed Offset account" to yes and check.

    Hi Ramit

thank you for your feedback !

I have already tried this and it freezes the field offset account so you can't chose an offset account.

    Hi Clara,

    You are right.

    Just a question.

You mentioned this is working for other offset type.

So, is this working with journal type "Daily"

Can you show us? I doubt this is possible with journal type daily.

    Hi Ramit,

My bank journal is a "daily" type when the Vendor Payment journal is a "vendor disbursement type". So the parameter may not work for the "daily" type journals ...

    Thank you :)

    Hi,

    Yes, that's right.

This is Standard behavior in my environment as well.

For journal type 'daily' the offset account type doesn't work, it seems.

    Hi Clara.glt,

Is this default type that crucial?

If you record bank related transactions in a GL journal then I would expect that you import them and with the import you should be able to define that the offset account is of type bank.

Is that right or do you need this journal for any other purpose?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Ludwig,

They don't always use Excel Add-in, if there are only 2 transactions for example, but it is not a sticking point either.

    Kind regards,

    Clara
