Plugins using 4.6.2 framework error

Hi all,

Trying to build against the 4.6.2 framework to allow debugging using the CRM Developers tool kit. The latest developer kit is working well but when debugging from VS credentials don't work against Dynamics 365 V9 likely due to TLS 1.2 requirements. I can't change registry settings to force TLS 1.2 due to other projects. I might try Fiddler to do TLS 1.2.

I have installed the 4.6.2 Developers pack.

Installed all the 9.00.7 Nuget Packages.

Checked for any 4.5.2 references.

Created new plugins using 4.6.2

When I try to deploy I get:

The primary reference "C:\Users\***************l\bin\Debug\Eyetrial6.Pluginseyetrial.dll" could not be resolved because it was built against the ".NETFramework,Version=v4.6.2" framework. This is a higher version than the currently targeted framework ".NETFramework,Version=v4.5.2". I presume this is a VS issue?

What is the targeted framework in VS?

In your project file, go to properties (right click Project 0> Properties).

In the Target Framework Dropdown what is the Target Framework?

Is it set to 4.5.2 or 4.6.2?

    Hope this helps...

All Projects are targeting 4.6.2 I have checked and recreated many times just in case. Also deleted the bin, cleaned, rebuild.

I don't know a lot about it but this is a VS issue and not a Dynamics 365 issue isn't it?

Have resorted back to 4.5.2 and using the plugin registration tool outside of VS. So frustrating Dynamics tools for VS over the years.
