We are a manufacturing company, using BC14 with WMS module and Tasklet on mobile devices.
From time to time we are in the situation that a part of an inventory of 1 item in our warehouse seems to have a production issue.
At that moment we would like to "mark" this part of stock (of that 1 item) as "2nd quality" or even "blocked" if we have to re-investigate the quality.
We need some kind of "marking" for 2 reasons :
- to prevent selling them if we are in doubt about the quality (on order-entry side we should see that "2nd quality" or "blocked" inventory can not be sold)
- to see the difference in quality
The second reason is for example :
- we have 1000 pieces in stock
- 900 of them are "blocked" (and cant be sold)
- we have an order of 500 pieces
If we dont see the difference in "quality" our production might think there is enough stock of that item, but in fact we have to produce more because 900 pcs of those are (temporary) blocked.
We tried using standard VARIANT of an item, but its a lot of manual work to change 1000 pcs of a non-variant item into 900 pcs variant 'blocked' (of '2nd quality) and 100 pcs 'normal quality'.
We thought about creating an extra item for the '2nd quality' of 'blocked' quality, but I cant believe there arent better solutions.
Anyone in the same situation?
Preferable a solution that can be handled by Tasklet (change "quality", ...)
