Hi All,

Suppose Account A has following data

Address : A

City : x

Country :Y

street 1: Road

Now when I am creating work order choosing service account as Account A on work order then address, city, country, street data is getting autopopulate with  account data .

Does any one knows which workflow/action populate above fields on work order

Any way to stop auto populate address fields on work order record

    Hi partner,

    It should be by design.

I also found nothing in account onchange event, and when I change the account and catch cookies in F12 development, I found D365 will retrieve account details by web api.

And we could not customize it or close it manually

So I suggest that you could create another account look filed instead and hide the default one.

    Regards,

    Leo

    Hey Leo,

    Thanks for replying.

The answer to all questions is NO. :(

    .

It must be some setting or configuration which we are missing

    Hi partner,

Thanks for your details, and I suggest you to check the following points.

1.Check if there is any JS function on account look up onChange event.

2.If there is any business rule in work order form.

3.Check if there is any plug-in or custom workflow on it.

4.Check if there is any power automate (MS Flow) on this entity.

    Regards,

    Leo

    Hey Leo,

I checked the system jobs as well as form editor. It can't be quick view form . As per ms doc user can edit the address on work order once it is auto populated with service account address. Quick view will never allow to update address on work order entity.

    Hi partner,

Could you share your work order form editor?

In default there is a quick view form on it, and if in your case you could edit them directly, so did you make any customizations on your form?

And you could go to Settings->System Jobs and filter out all the workflows based on work order entity.

    Best Regards,

    Leo

    Thanks leo for replying

It's not quick view form as I am able to edit the city, country, zip, state, street on work order entity record

    Hi partner,

Actually it is a quick view form of account entity.

Open  your work order form editor,  check the "service account details" properties.

The fields Primary account, email and address are not really fields in work order form, they are fields of account entity and only show in work order form based on  the service account look up field.

So if you don't need it, just delete it.

And if you want blank Email, address fields on work order, you need to create them.

    More information for your reference.
