GP Web Services and Connector Error

Good morning everyone.

I have an environment with Dynamics GP 2015 (RTM), GP Web Services Installed

Web Services is installed correctly and I can verify this using the URL in the browser. However, when I try to test the settings in Connector, I get the following error message.

‘A connection to the Microsoft Dynamics GP Web Service could not be validated using the http://thrvlgp01:48620/Dynamics/GPService URL.’

I have checked Security and made sure that the user account has the right roles:

Does anyone have any ideas of what could be causing this or what I could try to resolve this?

Thanks for your time in advance.

Jamie

Yes, I forgot to attach the error message instead of pasting in the screenshot! I have edited my post.

When you attempt to create an integration, do any GP companies appear in the list?  If so then this error can be ignored and you can proceed with the integration setup.

    Hi Chris,

Unfortunately there are no companies listed when creating an integration. I had a look at the Connector user guide and it mentioned to make the Adapter user a Super User within GP Security which I have done, this made no difference.

    Any ideas?

The user listed in the adapter settings need to be the same user that is in the proper roles within the Security setup for GP web services.  If that is the case, then I suggest contacting GP support to assist in resolving the issue.

    Thanks Chris.

I think I'll be raising a ticket for this as you suggest!

    Hi,

I have tried that URL and that didn't work either unfortunately.

If anyone is still having trouble here the answer is the format should be as follows:

    http://{yourGPWebServer}:48620/Dynamics/GPService/GPService

Notice that the GPService is listed twice. If you have it listed a single time it will not work. When navigating through the web browser you use the /GPService a single time. However, when using Dynamics Connector GP adapter you must have the /GPService listed twice as in the example above.
