This is version sl 2011 with FP1. We have an inventory batch that won't release. The message is "period entered is prior to GL posting options". the period entered is 201404 and the period to post is 201403.
We noticed GL Setup allows posting to closed periods only in GL. We try to check on the option to allow posting to closed periods in IN and this message appears: 28003: this option cannot be changed because there are old unreleased batches.
We identified 3 old unreleased batches in Inventory by searching the Batch table for rlsed = 0. One batch had a C status and one batch had a P status. On these two we updated Rlsed to 1. The third batch was H status and so we deleted it from IN Issues screen.
We are still getting the message 28003 when trying to update GL Setup to allow posting to closed periods in Inventory.
What are we missing?
