Hello,
We have users send Fetch XML from Dynamics advanced finds in to our team. We then convert the fetch to SQL, clean up the SQL and place it into the command text portion of an Excel spreadsheet.
The Excel query definition has an appropriate connection string and this works as intended.
Should Excel be able to use the roles for that user within Dynamics to restrict their access to data?
If possible, I'd like to restrict access to leads by users that only work with Contacts and vice versa from within Excel.
