In Service Management Module, when creating a Service Agreement the system is asking for a mandatory project ID.

Is there any provision to create a Service Agreement against a Customer and Not Against a Project.

As per one of my requirements, I need a Service Agreement against a customer, so as to map the Service Objects against that agreement. Since I need only one Service Object Relation against a Customer ( I don't want the Object Relation to change every time i create a new project), is there any way I can use the same Service Agreement against multiple projects.

    Raghuram,

    This is definitely not supported for AX. What we did with out Field Services Automation module at Hitachi is to automate the creation a project. Actually as part of customer creation, our solution can create projects which can then be used later for service agreements. So you can implement a similar solution or let me know if you need more info about the Hitachi Solution. As far as being able to use one service agreement against multiple projects, I don't think this is possible out of the box. However, if you should be able to use service agreement templates to facilitate the creation of new service agreements or you can just copy lines from an existing service agreement.

    We need a solution for service management in AX 2012 having the feature independant of projects , require resource scheduling for work orders (service orders) with maintenance planner. Please let me know your email id to discuss further.

    Hi Raghuram,

    As far as I know this isn't supported in the standard AX Service Management module since everything is working  via the project module. We offer a Service Management module (www.dynamicssoftware.com/.../service-management-software) that is also using projects, but in the background. In this module you can define service contracts/agreements for multiple service objects. Therefore there is no need to change the object relation everytime you can a new project.
