Excel Add-In Record-ID must be filled in?

Hi,

We have a custom table in AX that forms a relationship between CRM and AX records for integration purposes.

When we try to import the data using the Excel-Add In we get the error "the Record-ID must be filled in". Now I'm assuming that AX should be generating this upon import. It's almost as if the import is skipping the validation layer and the system is rejecting the records due to a missing Record ID.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what the issue might be? I'm not that familiar with AX so please excuse any misused terminology.

RecID's can be auto-generated on some tables so long as you put a dummy integer in the cell prior to publishing.  However, when you say you have a custom table, do you have an AxTablename class defined with parm methods that know how to handle the inputs?  You'll need this to use the add in with custom data.
