Hi
I am the admin for a medium company (50+ employees) using Dynamics CRM 2016 On Premise.
We have an intermittent issue in Dynamics where once or twice a week an email will get 'stuck' in 'pending send', resulting in frustrating prompts to users telling them they have emails outstanding longer than 24 hours.
I have checked the User settings and all users are set up the same using the correct details. The emails are also correctly sent to valid to/from etc. The issue affects a random user each time and seems to be a glitch more than anything as I can't pin it down to a specific cause. All other mail sends correctly.
The only way I have been able to resolve this is to manually delete the emails.
Any suggestions are appreciated.

I have the same question (0)Hi
Whenever an email gets stuck this way, you should be able to locate an error message in the Event Viewer application log on the server that is running the email router. Look for errors from the email router process from around the time the email was originally sent.
There's also sometimes an error message available inside CRM if you open the entity form for the email that is stuck. The error message here is rarely helpful though, so the application log is probably your best bet!
