Clearing checks

I am new to MS Dynamics SL. My predecessors did not clear checks in MSD. Is there a way to mark the checks as cleared that are all dated before a certain date? In other words, if I can have MSD automatically clear all 2012 checks printed, I can probably do the 2013 myself.  Any thoughts? Thanks for any help!

Oh Boy. Looks like you have a couple days or so of fun ahead of you. :)

If you go into the Reconcile Checks dialog and highlight the first checkbox:

    1. click the box to put an x in it.

    2. hit ctrl-c

    3. down arrow to next checkbox

    4. hold shift key and press down arrow to begin highlighting multiple checkboxes

    5. when you have all that you want to clear highlighted, press ctrl-v.

all the checkboxes should fill in.

    Good luck with that.

Another option would be to use TI to import the outstanding checks. Creating a two column list of outstanding checks and the issued amounts would be all that is needed on the check reconciliation screen. You would be able to remove the actual outstanding checks from the list before importing the checks to be cleared.
