How badges work in this forum

Hi everyone!

I am new in this forum and as BC user.

I posted a question and it was solved by very attentive users, nice people, which I appreciate.

I have realized that users have badges.

I would like to know how this forum works, how can I help others in the future, what is the advantage of having more badges, (for labor market)?, etc.

I would appreciate any guidance in this regard.

    You can review these badges and meaning of each here  community.dynamics.com/badges

    Each badge has a different meaning. Hence, you can look at user badges and above guideline to determine what they means.

    I personally do not see any advantages in these badges. I just enjoy being here and help other users and receive help from them. For me they are my "to go" source to learn more. But, I realize badges are "community recognition" for users. I am not sure if those badges play any rule in labor market. Most users here with lots of badge are established known name in BC market. Some of them are MVP (heights recognition by Microsoft) and some have years of experience.

    I just say we as a community appreciate you for any questions you ask, any question you answer, or any point that you share.  Combination of all these factors help us here to learn more about BC.

    The badge is what you get when you achieved a certain set of criteria, such as answering a number of posts, blogging, etc.

    community.dynamics.com/badges

    It doesn't really give you any advantages. However, people can perceive that user having more badges to be more credible when giving answers.

    Anyway, not to worry too much about badges. Focus on helping each other, and the badge will follow by itself.
