Automatically generate batch number in production order released status

How to automatically generate batch number for item in production order after the released status instead of report as finished?

    You can configure Batch number group on released product to generate batch number as soon as there is "ordered" inventory transaction for FG item, which means production order has created status. To achieve this, make sure to set up Batch number group with Only for inventory transactions set to No.

    Not sure if it's possible to trigger batch generation on release status.

    Thanm you for your reply, I tried to use your solution but the batch number was generated before it reached release status, will I have to do customization?

    If you want it to generate specifically on production order release, then yes, it will have to be a customization.

    I want to give it a try, do you know what class or form code is responsible for generating batch number in production order? I can't seem to find it to start the customization. Thanks for the response.
