Renamed a product number in released product details screen; couldn't find it in the All product and product masters screen to change

I needed to change a product name to carry over the order and purchase history from the old number to the new number.

I changed it in the Released Product Details screen (RPD), but when I went into the All Product and Product Masters screen (APPM) to make the change there, I wasn't able to find either the old number or the new number. It was one of many, many that I did, and this is the only one that disappeared. The new number appears in the RPD with all of the old number information, and it was changed throughout the system for other applications, but it's just gone in the APPM screen.

I even tried to change it back to the old number to see if it showed up in the other screen, but it didn't. So I changed it back to the new number.

I recreated the item in the APPM screen using the new number. Will what I created in the APPM screen sync up with what is in the RPD screen, since they are the same number?
