Smartlist Builder GoTo action to open a VST form

Hi:

I would like to create a new Smartlist (using Smartlist Builder) with an associated GoTo Action. However, I would like the action to open a new VST form I have created while providing a parameter. The form runs a local SSRS report. Can this be done?

The seemingly logical choice would be to use the Open Form action, but I'm thinking the list of products are registered via Dexterity in some way. I do see one product called "Visual Studio Integration Tool", but the Form list is empty (after having selected the System series).

Does anyone have any ideas on how to approach this?

Thanks!

Paul

You can not add reference of your VST form, but if you only want to run your report then why not trying Add Go To - Open web site option, past your ssrs url on URL field and add the parameters.

    Paul,

I don't think it can be done because VST forms are not dexterity objects.

About the only way it could be possible is if you could convince David Musgrave to enhance his new Visual Studio Integration Toolkit (which is the successor to Visual Studio Tools Menu or the Visual Studio Integration Tool)

I imagine he would have to have a dummy form that then launches your VST form.

There are a few challenges to this.  You will want to open your form with certain parameters (and resulting data) which means that dummy vst form must support a Parameter array which Dexterity may not support.  So maybe the dummy form could support a limited set of parameters (say 10) which would be passed on to your VST form
