Is it possible to import from an excel file and automatically create items with basic information? Have seen that some tools exist but don't know how to find them. Thanks for help!

We use Retail Realm's RR Import Utility and it has been a huge success.

We use an add-on from Retail Realm. We use it weekly to add new items. We import them into HQ and download the items to the stores. The add-on is available from some of the MS partners.
Download the Store Operation Import Utility from Microsoft. If's a old but goodie for quick imports and more. You should be able to find it on the Microsoft site.
Thanks for your replies! I did investigate the utility from Retail Realm but its quite expensive and I only need it for one of my vendors (out of over 100 different ones.) I have tried to find the utility on Microsoft's website but can't locate it. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
thanks
If you can send me an email, I can send you a copy.
One must have access to CustomerSource;

You can try SQL server 2012 SSIS tool for import and export!! The "rms_so_importutility" does not work straightforward.
