Hi All,

I am trying to configure the email router in dynamics 365 online version. Once I clicked on Load data button in "Email Router Configuration Manager" its loaded all the users from CRM. Now I selected one user and clicked on "Test Access". After several minutes a message is popup in red color like below.

Kindly help me to sort out the issue. Thanks.

    Hi

You do not want to use Server-Side Synchronization?

    Hi Gopalan,

    Thanks for your reply.

In Dynamics 365 we have an Option called "Server Side Synchronization or Email Router" and I have selected it. If its not the correct one Kindly suggest me the right option. Thank you.

Yes, I can go ahead with SSS but the thing is I am unable to send emails from my CRM login Id. Its asking to enable Email box and I am trying to do it from CRM and its saying I am unauthorized, though I am a global admin. Thanks..

    Hi

Yes that is the right option.

You do not need to install Email Router and it is deprecated.

    Hi

Is it Dynamics 365 online and Exchange Online?

Thanks Gopalan for your prompt replies...

I selected server profile as "Microsoft Exchange Online".

While doing the Test and enable Mail box in CRM I am getting the below error.

    Hi

If your Exchange Online and CRM online are in different Tenants then it would not synchronize.

    Thanks gopalan..

Here I have a small doubt.

Can we directly send emails from Dynamics 365 Online trial version user Id (like UserName@domainName.Onmicrosoft.com), with Server Side Synchronization and with out using any subscription?

If there is a chance kindly provide me the steps. Thanks.

    Hi

This is just an Azure AD account Id.

You should have Exchange Online in the same tenant.

If you have Exchange online available (but in a different tenant than the CRM Tenant), and you want to use a single tenant for both of them (Example: using only the current tenant used for CRM, for both Exchange online and CRM online) you can request Microsoft to do so.

Online Trial is Plan1 and it does not come with Exchange Online.

Thanks Gopalan...the above info took me bit forward in understanding the actual issue.

I would be more thankful to you, if you can provide a link which explains more about Tenants in CRM. Thanks.
