Workflow email missing dynamic Values

Hopefully someone has seen this before. We had a customized opportunity form that worked and functioned fine in CRM 2011 when creating workflows for the opportunity using send email all of the dynamic values were listed on the form help bar on the right. When we moved to CRM 2013 the opportunities was replaced with a new updated one. I made our customized one the default and deactivated the updated out of the box form. But now when going to make a worlflow all of the dynamic values in form helper are blank nothing shows for anything. Only opportunities is causing problems all of our other custom entities work fine.

 Thanks

I have occasionally caught myself wondering why the dynamic values area is empty but it has always been because the focus was not in the proper field (operator error).  Since the dynamic values can only be used with fields with a compatible datatype, the focus must be in the field to be updated so the proper filtered list of dynamic values can be displayed.  You can't first build the dynamic value you want and then choose where you want it to go.

Separately, I have also had an issue with editing email notification workflows in any browser other than IE.  There's a bug I've run into in Chrome and Firefox where I can't save the email that I want to send.  So while this is specific to editing an email in a workflow, I wouldn't be too surprised if other browser-specific bugs exist.  Are you running the latest update (SP1)?

Turned out to be a browser specific bug, that only effected the opportunity email form.

    Thanks

Thanks for the pointer. Yes, it turns out that this is a browser-specific bug. While users may be able to use few browsers of their choosing, Dynamics CRM admins seem to be forced to use IE as some functions don't work properly in other browsers, even for the latest Dynamics CRM 2015.

    Sincerely,

I'm seeing the same issue in CRM 2015 online. Any time I try to reference opportunities in any workflow rule I am not allowed to use dynamic values and get the following error:

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'className' of null
