I have recently purchased a new computer that runs Windows 7 Pro. I previously owned a Windows XP computer. Once I purchased the new Windows 7 Pro computer I took the hard drive out of the Windows XP computer with my RMS software downloaded to it and installed it in the new Windows 7 Pro computer. When I tried opening the Store Operations POS, I received the error message "Component 'ssa3d30.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid." I am not able to access the Manager, POS, or Admin options. PLEASE HELP

I have the same question (0)As I know Win 7 has to have the programs in the Programs Folder otherwise it may give error like "class not registered". So copy the whole folder of Retail Manager and SQL Server in Win 7 Programs folder and try to run from there.
If you have the original RMS set up disks just install them properly the Manager and Administrator will work straight away but you may have to call microsoft to obtain POS confirmation key. The one that is on old HDD refers to the old computer and may not work. Before installing RMS though you must install the correct version of SQL server you had and be sure you have a backed up data file from your old computer. Once all these done and Manager is working with your restored data file, run POS and respond to request for confirmation. Then check all hardware attached to cash register need driver updates.
