Address entity in Dynamics CRM???

Hi,

I am wondering what is the use of Address entity in Dynamics CRM.

We have the Account and Contact entity which have their own address fields outofthebox and I am not sure why there is a separate Address entity  outofthebox.

Any easy explanation will be highly appreciated..

Thanks!

The separate address entity is primarily used in case you want an unlimited number of addresses per contact / account. However, if (as is often the case), you only need up to 3 addresses per contact / account, then you can use the address fields, which simplifies data entry.

Note that you can use a combination of approaches, and the address fields on the contact / account entities are actually virtual fields, with the data stored in the address entity, but the CRM UI hides this from you
