Please note that our business portal was working properly also the workflow. suddenly both stopped working.
I am not able to see the roles security members also i am facing the attached error when trying to submit a PO for approval.
your support is highly appreciated.

While not having faced the exact error message I am lead to believe that at some level in the DB Admin there has been a change in the security. Recently one of our clients DBA's decided that he did not like the password of a Service Account and so he simply changed it - at the DBA level - all well and fine for him - but that means that any of the applications that use that Service Account and the store the password, will fail. That is what happened to us, so wondering if that might be what happened here.
We have found in the past with Business Portal that a vast majority of the errors messages are security related.
