Good Day Experts,
Does Microsoft have released contoso demo database for CU11? I only have CU8. Is it okay if I use it? Will it work?
Please help me with this one. Badly needed.
Thanks,
Raph

Hi André!.
In my case i Think the problem was that i first imported the R3RTM version of the contoso data and then reinstalled the CU8 Data ontop when the data did not show up.
I have now restored my original databases and installed the CU8 ContosoDataDemodata.
Now i can se the data in my CU11 Release. ( i Got 1 Error importing).
Thanks!.
Hi Mattias,
Have you checked if the TDTT did throw errors in your scenario? Have you restarted the AOS after loading the data?
Hi Raph,
You can use a data upgrade checklist. You can start the in-place version.
Having the same issue here,
The latest Demo data i found was for CU8, and i have installed that in my CU11 Test Environment with DP Tool.
( 1 SQL Server,1 AOS Server,1 RDP Server).
I have installed the Contoso license key.
But not showing any data in AX at all. ( can only see the DAT Company.).
Are there no CU11 Contoso Environmnet released yeat?. I guess to get it right i need to export/import from Onebox image?.
The only link i can find concerning this dont have anything above CU9 released.
Hi Andre,
What update do I need to run? THere are alot of checklist lister here.
Thanks,
Raph
Hi Raph,
Can you tell if you imported CU8 or CU11 demo data? As you first created the database and then imported data using the TDTT there is no trigger that the database was from an older version, so no checklist is automatically executed. You can start it manually like Ievgen mentioned.
Hi Raph Dumape,
Did you try to do it manually from System Administration -> Setup -> Checklists ?
Hi Andre,
I've successfully imported the contoso demo data but upon opening the AX, there is no prompt for update checklist. Is it okay?
Thanks,
Raph
Hi Andre,
Alright I get it. I'll try this and I'll update you later. Thanks :) You make it easier.
Thanks,
Raph
Hi Raph,
Every update there are new tables and sometimes also changes that requires some upgrade scripts. So when you open a CU11 application on a CU8 database, it will start the upgrade checklist where there are several steps like synchronizing the database and run some upgrade scripts.
