I am trying to install GP 2010 client on multiple Win XP sp3 machines in a domain/group policy environment and I get the following error: Component windows installer 4.5 has failed to install with the following error message" "Fatal error during installation. "

I have tried logging in as local admin and domain admin, from DVD and from network. Both Windows Update Service and Installer are running on clients. We just pushed out Windows Updates from and WSUS server.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Local Administrator did not have all rights to the box, probably due to Group Policy. Domain Admin was able to install.
