For any lead, I tried to reassign so I could have the team manage a lead but it gave them error messages

1) What does the error message say?
2) Does the error message give you an option to see or to download more details, and can you share those?
3) Does the Team you want to assign the record to have a security role?
4) Does that role have Read permissions to the Lead entity, at User level as a minimum?
