Is it required to create a deployable package after installation of Hotfix in a single environment?

Hi,

I am going to install a hotfix in Dynamics 365 for operations for Project time entry workspace (KB 4018050).

I found the following steps are mentioned on wiki help:

To implement KB 4018050, your system administrator must follow these steps.
1. Download KB 4018050 from Microsoft Dynamics Lifecycle Services (LCS).
2. Install the metadata hotfix.
3. Create a deployable package that contains the ApplicationSuite and ProjectMobile models, and then upload the deployable package to LCS.
4. Apply the deployable package to your Dynamics 365 for Operations system.

My question is: Is it really required to perform step 3 and 4 above as I am going to do it only on a single environment for Demonstration purpose?

I can understand it is required if we need to do it on Dev environment, then we need to create deployable package for TEST.

Hi Amit,

To my knowledge, you don't need to perform steps 3 and 4 for a Tier-1 (single box) environment. You will only need them for Sandbox/ Production environment.
