Hi everyone.
I've been experimenting with saved views for a large user base.
Instead of using personal views and copying them over to users, I tried publishing them as organisation views to user roles which was easy enough.
As part of the testing, I deleted a couple of the views and tried to publish them again from my personal views and it came up with this message:
"A view with the specified name ..... already exists"
It actually is nowhere to be seen in published or unpublished organisation views.
Any idea how I can go around this problem?
I logged this with Microsoft and after lots of troubleshooting it turns out that certain forms create 3 records in table FormRunConfiguration which is the published views table. When a view is deleted it only deletes one leaving the other two (essentially translation records) which cause the error. There is a batch job that runs in the background every 24 hours to clear that (Deletes FormRunConfiguration records marked for deletion and records from associated tables) and we had stopped that batch job not knowing what it does.
Hi Charlotte. Thanks for that. I am aware of the update/save requirement and it is not the issue. Thanks for getting back.
Hi Ismael Quteifan,
The removal of published views takes effect after the Save button is selected.
Did you save this action after you deleted it to make sure it was deleted?
And you can manage views more holistically for the system via the Personalization page. The Personal views section lists all views that have been created by users in the system. Can you find the view in it?
Best Regards,
Charlotte
