Populate information from lead onto a task

Hello, 

I would like to add information from the salesstagecode field on a lead to new tasks created for this lead.

Open a lead record, add a task and on this new task have a field populated with the information from salesstagecode.

How might I do this without any code involved?

    Hi loozle,

    You can achieve it with workflow. Please follow the steps:

    1. Create a field on the Task entity.

    2.Create a workflow which entity is Task and set the value of new field. Save and activate it.

    3. Create a Task regarding to the lead.
