Default Email address in Activity email

I created an email template for the opportunity entity in CRM. This will send to a manger in the company. However, when you open the Email Activity on the opportunity, it defaults recipient to the account. I’m afraid users will sent the template by mistake if they forget to update it. Is there a way to make the TO (recipient) field blank? Or is there a way to associate a default recipient to a specific template?

thanks.

    Hello,

    You can use JS to populate the field.In your case, if it's Contact then you have to use the Contact entity for the below reference code.

    var partlistData = new Array();
    //first Party
    partlistData[0] = new Object();
    partlistData[0].id = UserId;
    partlistData[0].name = UserName;
    partlistData[0].entityType = “systemuser”;

    formContext.getAttribute(“to”).setValue(partlistData);

    Here is a reference.

    Hi Jazmine,

    If you just want to set to (recipient) field of email blank, workflow can easily achieve it.

    1.Go settings > Process to create a workflow.

    2.Add ‘Update email’ step.

    3.set properties.

    4.Save and active it.

    5.Test.

    (1) when you create an email from opportunity, you will find ‘to’ field is filled with value of contact from opportunity automatically.

    (2) However, after clicking send button, ‘to’ field value will be cleared.
