Email configuration within GP 2015

Submitted for your consideration:

Is it possible to configure multiple email address recipients within GP 2015? I want to store multiple email addresses for a customer within a customer card. AR@contoso.com, AP@contoso.com, Credits@contoso.com, you get the point. Configuring Email for Sales and Purchasing Documents will not work for me, unless I can enable the functionality but not use any of the features.

A similar feature is displayed here but is focused on Doc Type:

Thanks Leslie, I think I am going to have to create Address IDs and a schema for data entry as you suggest. This way I can develop an integration that will house the relevant information in GP.

I'll call soon and discuss further.

    Hi,

My clients need exactly the same thing. The Doc Type area is how we've managed it. It's not ideal by any stretch, but it seems to work for us. Please, if you find a more robust email management, please post it. Also, please post this suggestion to Microsoft Connect, I think as more people use the email capabilities of GP, they will find it lacking. You mentioned you couldn't use the doc type feature because the modules aren't enabled? I guess I didn't understand that part. Do you not use Payables and Receivables?

Another way you could manage this is using Different Address IDs. There is a list of email addresses available for each address ID, you could have an AP Address ID, an AR Address ID, etc. If you look, you'll see that the 'world' button is next to the address ID, it's not tied to the customer ID. This isn't an ideal answer either, but it's possible. I'd really like to discuss your needs so that I can combine them with mine and get something together to send to the 3rd party developers and to Microsoft.

If you're willing to talk about it, please give me a call at 972-814-8550.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie

Just use the Internet Information window to store your email addresses. There are fields there for To, CC, and BCC.  You can have multiple email addresses in each of those fields.

You can open this window by clicking the "Internet Info" button, next to the Address ID (looks like a globe).
