Calculated and Rollup Fields Disables Auditing - CRM 2016

This may be by design since the system enters the data into these fields but it would still be nice to see in the audit trail the date/time and that system made any changes.

Has anyone else seen this as a bug or more of desired feature, to reduce auditing chatter?

Thank you.

    Hi Daniel,

Yup, it is not possible, not a bug also I guess.

I think is because it does not want to add more audit records when it is never been updated by the "real user".

    Thanks.

    Hi Daniel,

Yes its by design, Auditing does not work on Calculated & Roll up fields. It seems logical as well because changes to these fields are made by system always and is dependent on other fields. So its good to check the dependent field which is rolling up or calculating the value in calculated/roll up field.

Definitely, its a nice to have feature; like you many of us are expecting to be able to do more with calculated/rollup fields.
