One Contact is our contact for multiple Accounts

Hi,

I have one person who is the primary Contact for multiple Accounts.

I have been looking into similar cases, but mine seems a little different.

I want to show that one person is the Contact on both accounts, but my error message says: "This record cannot be added because it already has a parent record."

I am pretty sure I can Set Regarding to any Account, regardless if it is or isn't the Parent (please correct me if I am wrong), but the Contact does not display in the Account entity.

I am just looking for database completion. Thank you,

-Ryan

    Hi invintern,

I think you should use another field named Primary Contact which has N:1 relationship with the contact entity rather than Company Name field.

You could select contact for multiple accounts here:

I hear you that this does work - thank you for that.

BUT the language "Primary Contact" is reserved for the primary contact of the client. In this case, he is not the Primary Contact for either Account, yet he does communicate with us on both of them.

Now you you write back, I think a better solution for me might be to enable a non-primary Contact the N:1 relationship.

Is this possible? I will start poking around.

    Hi invintern,

Yes, if he is not the Primary Contact for either Account, you could create a new N:1 relationship or N:N relationship(This is depend on your demand) between Account and Contact entity.

Then in lookup field(N:1) or subgrid to add contacts.
